byGrommet was born during a year in New York City living near the Chelsea Flea and the Wholesale District. It was newly energizing and inspiring., ultimately leading me back to some of my true loves: hunting down fun, salvaged elements, new and vintage acrylic, and feeding my bag obsession, especially 1920s Flapper pouches -- maybe my grandma above would have coveted one.

I stay true to myself when I design, rather than following trends, and create what I consider "understated statement pieces". I like a playfulness to come through in my designs, along with an appreciation of the past, and I value a raw look that is not overworked and does not play by the rules.
